Place for the Arts in Chester (PACh) is a Community Interest Company creating opportunities for artists and bringing empty spaces back to life.
Since 2021, we’ve transformed a series of vacant city-centre properties into galleries, studios, shops, exhibition spaces and places for people to meet, make, discover and buy art.
We work quickly, flexibly and with very little fuss — because sometimes a space doesn’t need a five-year plan. It just needs people in it.

PACh works with property owners, agents and developers to bring vacant spaces into creative use. We move quickly, work with spaces as they are, and operate flexibly around longer-term plans. Whether a property is available for a few weeks, several months or longer, we can turn it into somewhere active, cared for and open to the public — and hand it back when it’s needed.
